Discipleship
This focus is mostly for new believers, believers who have never been fully committed to their relationship with Christ or believers who are frustrated and struggle in their Christian Walk and need help understanding why they are not getting the results they think they should be experiencing.
Regardless of your situation, if you are searching for basic information or clarity in knowing what has happened to you since becoming born again and what is or is not expected of you, in addition to what you should be focused on in order to mature in your relationship with God, you will find those answers here.
In our discipleship process we walk alongside believers coaching them on the fundamentals of their faith in Jesus Christ beginning with helping them understand that their identity has changed from sinner to saint and all of the amazing realities that truth entails.
Biblical Teaching
At FreedomPointe Christian Ministries, we do not teach about the bible, we teach from the bible, the source of all of our teaching, which is geared toward maturing the believer even further in their walk with God, with themselves and in their relationships with others. As a Christian develops in their maturing process more complicated questions of faith and God tend to surface. Our course work tackles those questions and topical issues of Christian traditions, doctrinal teaching, faith issues as well as personal and interpersonal relationship challenges by answering the question,” What does the Bible say about that?” Through this continuing education the individual or couple will always be offered practical “how to” applications using the principles from God’s word for everyday life and relationships.
Pastoral Counseling
We teach that the surface conflict (symptom), such as depression, anxiety, anger, aggressive or passive / aggressive behavior, insecurities, inferiority, suicidal thoughts, addictions, panic attacks, PTSD etc., or relationship conflict in marriage, with children, extended family members, friendships and church family, are all symptoms of a greater root problem in the soul.
The bible reveals to us that there is an underlying root problem affecting every believer and from that springs the surface conflicts they are experiencing in life (Hebrews 12:14,15). We offer teaching and training course work that systematically addresses the experience a person is having in their life and helps them identify, isolate and eliminate the basic root conflict that is causing that experience, whether it be a personal symptom, or a relationship issue or both.
FreedomPointe Christian Ministries does not offer conventional therapy practices, because we are not focused on treating symptoms by providing coping mechanisms or behavior modification techniques and methods. We focus on long term and permanent solutions to life’s problems through the teaching and application of biblical (spiritual) principles that broadly apply to all people and circumstances. Once the person is grounded in truth, they will be equipped with the tools to permanently eliminate the root conflict in the soul then to break the negative response pattern which will result in freedom from the specific surface symptom they are struggling with.
